The Vox scoops gold, and the ICC takes silver at the Conference and Events Awards 2022

At the Conference and Events Awards on Friday 1 July in London, the Vox Conference Venue won the gold award for ‘Most Versatile Venue over 500 theatre style’, while the ICC won the silver award for ‘Best Conference Venue over 1100 theatre style’.

For the Gold award for The Vox, the judges commented: “This was an impressive entry clearly demonstrating the enthusiasm which this venue approaches each of its clients individually. Their motto of "more wow in here and now" comes through loud and clear!”

The Vox beat eight other shortlisted venues for the award, including Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester Central, QEII Centre, ILEC Conference Centre and others.

The ICC Birmingham gained a silver award in a shortlist of eight venues.

“It’s a huge achievement for the Vox and the ICC Birmingham to have beaten other shortlisted venues in these categories, particularly after the pandemic,” said Kelly Haslehurst, Marketing Director, Conventions and Exhibitions, NEC Group. “The venue teams have been brilliant in delivering an excellent customer experience, which shone through in the testimonials. The marketing team creating some fantastic submissions which clearly showed the judges that our venues are market leaders.”

The ICC Birmingham has been shortlisted in the Best Venue - UK category in this year's C&IT Awards.
