The Fabricator Installer Trade (FIT) Show will relocate from Telford’s International Centre to Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in May 2017.

The decision behind the relocation comes after the owners sought space into which the event could expand after three sell out shows in Telford, where it will be held for the last time in April 2016. The FIT Show will also be hosted at the NEC in 2019.

The FIT Show is the primary focus for the UK window, door and conservatory industry. It forges a bridge between the manufacturers and distributors of products, components and services with the companies and individuals that fabricate, install and specify them.

Commenting on the relocation, Paul Godwin, Managing Director of FIT Events Ltd, organiser of The FIT Show said: “A move was inevitable to handle the continuing demand for exhibition space and to allow the development of the event generally, including visitor numbers. The NEC ticks all the boxes; offering a flexible space and a central location with fantastic transport links meaning that visitors and exhibitors from across the UK will be able to access the venue with ease.

“The FIT Show returns an event for this industry to the NEC, where the last national glazing exhibition ran for more than 30 years.”

Richard Mann, Business Development Director for the NEC, said: “Not only can the NEC offer the flexible space organisers need to physically grow their shows, we can also provide reassurance that all the requirements of their growing show will be met, thanks to our 40 years of experience of delivering for our customers. We know FIT Show has great potential for growth, and we’re excited to be working closely with FIT Events to help them do just that in 2017 and beyond.”

The first NEC show will take place from 23-25 May 2017 and then return from 21-23 May 2019.
