International superstar Lionel Richie got everyone dancing on the ceiling on 7th July at the Barclaycard Arena, playing to a 13,000 strong crowd.

The evening was the latest stop of his ‘All The Hits’ Tour, and also marked the moment Richie hit over 200,000 tickets sold in Birmingham since he first took to a Birmingham arena stage back in March 1987.

General Manager of the Barclaycard Arena, Guy Dunstan, said: “It is fantastic to see such a musical icon back on stage in Birmingham having performed shows with us across nearly three decades.  His shows continue to be a major hit with the Midland’s audiences and the number of tickets he’s sold with us is testament to this.”

Richie performed hits from his extensive and much loved repertoire spanning decades, all the way from the Commodores to the present day, including classics such as ‘Hello’, ‘Easy’, ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’, ‘Say You Say Me’ and ‘All Night Long’.
