The Vox conference centre has expanded its events team with the addition of Senior Technical Manager Nick Fagan and Event Manager Annabelle Parslow.

Nick will be taking on a newly created role by leading the technical operation for the Vox, reflecting the technology focus of the premium conference centre.

Speaking of his appointment, Nick said: “I am delighted to be joining the Vox team as Senior Technical Manager. I have a passion for technology and am thrilled to bring my experience in both technical development and innovation into this new role. The Vox has a fantastic, high-standard technical infrastructure, with adaptability that opens so many new opportunities the possibilities will be endless. I’m looking forward to being able to enhance and safeguard our technical reputation with a rich culture of integrity and development.”

Nick brings with him over a decade of experience in live music, TV, theatre and opera and joins the Vox team following seven years with the Ambassador Theatre Group and Live Nation – based at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham – and two years freelancing across a wide range of venues, events and industries.

Director of Event Services for the Vox, Allan Boyle, said: “Since the Vox opened in 2015 we have experienced phenomenal success and this has enabled us to expand the team further. Nick is taking on a newly created role and will be using his experience to build upon the technical requirements that are already in place, helping to keep the venue at the forefront of conferencing.”

Anabelle Parslow joined the team in March and is looking forward to gaining more experience within a venue following three years working within an agency environment and previously within hospitality, saying “I knew that it was time for a change in my career path and I wanted to expand my experience to include working for a venue. I attended an event at the Vox in December last year and was very impressed with its operations and standards.  The Vox has so much potential and an amazing journey ahead of it, which I am excited to be a part of.”
