Midlands Air Ambulance

The NEC Group’s chosen charity this year is the Midlands Air Ambulance. The charity is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of six Midlands counties, looking after the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK. Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 50,000 missions averaging 2,000 per year, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK.​

Their CEO, Hanna Sebright met with Paul Thandi and our Executive team to thank the NEC Group for supporting the charity this year. She was thrilled to find out all about the different aspects to the organisations including the fabulous fundraising work that’s already been done to raise an incredible £20,000 and rising!

Last month almost £1000 was raised by a tasty cake sale and raffle, with cakes made by Amadeus head chef at the Vox conference venue, Aaron Johnson-Waters.

There are more cake themed fundraising ideas to come – including a bake off challenge between the Midlands Air Ambulance team and the NEC Group Sponsorship team!​
