Nationally acclaimed fine dining chefs Nick Evans and Tom Wells have launched a new fine dining experience – Craft Dining Rooms– at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham.

Joining Birmingham’s culinary elite, this unique concept launched on 12th July 2019, opening for bookings to the public on 15th, and is the brainchild of the pair, alongside local entrepreneurs Sam and Emma Morgan.

Located in the heart of Birmingham within the UK’s leading conferencing venue, the seven-figure investment boasts a 150-seater restaurant, cocktail bar, a la carte restaurant and two private dining rooms. Although Craft is a fine dining restaurant, the team is passionate about it being accessible to the community, in particular families, positioning itself as a relaxed and social, yet chic venue that allows guests to enjoy exceptional food and drink with a traditional British edge.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the most progressive cuisine to be seen in the city, with a menu created by two great artisans of Britain.  The team brings a wealth of experience to the table from both global and UK kitchens that is ready to set the Midlands food scene on fire.

Tom Wells, a native of Birmingham said: “I have spent a third of my career at the cutting edge of the Midlands’ culinary food circuit, and I am excited to bring something truly unique to my home city. I believe that Birmingham is at the forefront of the UK food scene and will really embrace our concept of unique traditional British food sourced within our shores.”

Nick Evans added: “I am delighted to return to the Midlands to open Craft in what is in my opinion the most progressive culinary city in the UK.  With the help of Tom, Emma, Sam and our brigade, we are confident that Craft will join Birmingham’s culinary elite and soon become one of the most respected venues in the city.

As one of Birmingham’s most sought-after locations, the ICC will provide the perfect environment for the restaurant.  With its central Mall open to all, both public and conference delegates can experience the benefits of the venue’s new offering, much to the delight of venue management.  Kathryn James, Managing Director - NEC Group Conventions & Exhibitions, said: “Welcoming a relaxed, fine dining concept to the ICC is a really exciting enhancement to our food and beverage credentials.  We host over 350,000 delegate days and have up to four million visitors pass through the ICC Mall each year, so we are confident that Craft Dining Room’s cutting-edge dining experience will be the talk of the Midlands.  We are thrilled they have chosen to launch their new offering with us.”
