BCI Aerospace and the Midlands Aerospace Alliance have teamed up to host the Aero Engine Forum Birmingham, which will be held at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre from April 18-20, 2017.

This is the first time that BCI Aerospace - which specialises in aviation and defence oriented events - will be hosting an event in the UK.

Over 400 delegates are expected to attend this event which will include a ‘speed-dating-like element’ where buyers will be able to make pre-arranged meetings with various suppliers located in booths.

Aero Engine Forum Birmingham is officially endorsed by Rolls-Royce, UTAS and Moog. It will be a platform for their procurement, supply chain and engineering teams to meet with suppliers.

Alain Ngoie, the Event Director, said: “The Midlands is home to over one quarter of the UK aerospace industry so Birmingham was the obvious choice for our first ever UK event. Location was extremely important for us in choosing a venue, as we wanted to ensure that it was easily accessible for our delegates. The ICC’s city centre location was perfect for us because of its unrivalled connectivity by road, rail and air, meaning our delegates can travel to the venue with ease.”

Catherine Newhall-Caiger, Business Development Director at the ICC, said: “We welcome professionals from hundreds of different industries across the UK to the ICC each year, but we love to welcome regional businesses and we expect to see a whole host at Aero Engine Forum Birmingham, because of the region’s hub of aerospace operations. We are really looking forward to welcoming the event and we will use our 25 years of experience to ensure that we help the organisers deliver a fantastic first event in Birmingham.”
