Terms and Conditions

Competition Details

By playing our CluedUp competition at www.necgroup.co.uk/cluedup and correctly answering three questions, you will have the chance of winning a £1,000 John Lewis voucher. (“Prize”).

The Competition will run from Tuesday 18th November 2024 – Thursday 19th December 2024. All entries must be received by 10am BST on Thursday 19th December 2024. All entries must be received via the CluedUp competition page (www.necgroup.co.uk/cluedup) by entering your email and the unique code assigned to your company and continuing to correctly answer three pre-set questions against the clock. The fastest time logged to correctly complete all three will win the Prize. All unique codes will have been sent to the recipient via post and email. (“the Competition”).

The winner will be announced on Thursday 19th December PM 2024 following a review of all logged times from each entry to identify which is the fastest, alongside a review that those entrants meet the Competition Terms and Conditions. The fastest time will win the Prize. If in any instance there is more than one entry with the exact same time logged, those entries will then go into a randomised draw to select just one winner who will be contacted via email/telephone to confirm their win by latest Friday 20th December. (“the Competition Details”).

The Prize will be sent to the winner’s email address provided upon competition entry following confirmation of win. The validity of the Prize is 2 years from date of initial purchase (19/12/2026) and therefore must be redeemed before.

Competition Terms and Conditions

A prize competition (“the Competition”) will be held by the National Exhibition Centre Limited, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, West Midlands, B40 1NT (“we”, “us” or “our”), as more particularly described in the competition details above (“Competition Details”). The Competition is to win the prize described in the Competition Details (“the Prize”). By entering the Competition, you agree to the following additional terms and conditions:

1.Entering your unique playing code and correctly answering three questions against the clock on www.necgroup.co.uk/cluedup will enter you into the Competition. By completing the questions and submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.The Competition is open to all recipients of the ‘CluedUp’ Direct Mail sent via post or an employee at the recipient’s place of work it was sent to that uses their assigned unique playing code, providing they are a UK and EU resident over the age of 18 with the exception of our employees, and those of our holding or subsidiary companies and agents and their families and friends. Each playing code is sent with the Direct Mail and/or on a follow up email and can only be used once so entry is limited to one (1) entry per company/recipient at that company named on the Direct Mail address list. In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.

3.You can enter the Competition during the dates stated in the Competition Details. Entries received after this will not be eligible for the Prize and will be automatically disqualified.

4.Only complete and clearly legible entries will be entered into the Competition.

5.All entries for the Prize will create a time logged against them – this is recorded from when the recipient enters their unique playing code and starts the timer up until they submit the final correct answer. This time will be recorded in minutes and seconds against the code, and each code

correlates to the company/recipient the direct mail was sent to. On 19th December once the competition ends, all logged times will be reviewed, and the fastest time will win the Prize. If in any instance more than once entry has the exact same time logged, those entries will be put into a separate randomised draw for just one winner to be selected. In this case, the random selection to determine the winner is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

6. The winners will be notified by telephone or email, using the telephone number availably publicly or the email address provided with the competition entry. Please ensure your details are correct before submitting your competition entry. We will send the name and county of the winners to anyone who within one month after the closing date of the Competition writes to us requesting details of the winners and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in the Competition Details.

7. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, we may, at our discretion, exclude you from participating in the Competition. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend this Competition, or these terms and conditions, at any time.

8. The Competition and these terms and conditions are governed by English law and any claims or proceedings arising out of or in connection with these terms (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

9. We will not accept: responsibility for Competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, or delayed in transit for any reason.

10. All Competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to us will become our property on receipt and will not be returned. By entering, the Competition you assign to us all your intellectual property rights, and you agree to waive any moral rights, in your Competition entry.

11. Unless stated otherwise in the Competition Details, the Prizes cannot be substituted for a cash alternative and the Prizes cannot be transferred to a third party.

13. We reserve the right to replace the Prize with alternative prizes of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.

14. Insofar as is permitted by law, we, our agents or our distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prizes except where it is caused by our negligence, our agents or our distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

We will only use the information you provide to us in entering this competition as set out in our Privacy Policy.

If you are one of the winners of the Competition, we will use your surnames and towns or counties to announce you as the winners and will make this information available to people requesting the information in line with the Terms and Conditions and our responsibilities under UK marketing rules. If you object to any or all of your surnames and counties being published or made available, please let us know at the address set out in the Competition Details. Please note that in such circumstances, we must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
