The luxury watch maker who became an exclusive partner of the Genting Arena in August 2014 has strengthened its relationship with the NEC Group by increasing the sponsorship to cover the Barclaycard Arena.

Following a successful first six months of the partnership, the new deal will see the luxury Swiss watch manufacturer become the official timekeeper of the newly redeveloped Arena and join other key sponsors, including Barclaycard, Orion and Elonex.

Phil Mead, Managing Director of the NEC Group’s Arenas, said: “Zenith’s decision to partner with the Barclaycard Arena as well as the Genting Arena reinforces the quality offering that the redevelopment of the Arena has established and what an attractive proposition it is now to prestigious brands. I’m looking forward to continuing to developing the relationship with Zenith and maximising the benefit to enhance our customers’ experience.”

The Zenith brand will have prime positioning within the Barclaycard Arena, brand recognition on its website, bespoke promotional emails to targeted databases held by The Ticket Factory and hospitality opportunities at the arena.

“We are delighted to be able to extend our relationship with the NEC Group to become the official timekeeper of the Barclaycard Arena. The partnership with Genting Arena has proved really successful and helped us reach a wider audience who are today more aware of wearing a true Manufacture timepiece. Being able to showcase our products at both Arenas ensures we capture all the live events taking place and put us at the front of the consumer’s mind,” said Rebecca McDermott, Regional Brand Director North and Central Europe at Zenith Watches.

Founded in 1865, Zenith became the first watch house in the world to undertake the process of watchmaking ‘under one roof’.  Today it is part of the exclusive LVMH Moët Hennessy • Louis Vuitton group, where it sits alongside some of the world’s most prestigious brands.
