Britain’s foremost tribute band The Bootleg Beatles return to The NIA Academy for their traditional Birmingham concert on Wednesday 17 December 2008.
World renowned as the first and most successful Beatles ‘tribute act’, the group has conveyed the authentic Beatles’ experience and music for 28 years.
This major production is performed in four parts with costume changes, tracing the musical journey of the Beatles from Liverpool Cavern to Apple Rooftop. The audience will be treated to all the hits with many songs featuring multi-media scene setting visuals and archive footage of the time.
Along with orchestral backing musicians the Bootleg Beatles perform many songs that were never actually played live on stage by the original four such as Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever and A Day In The Life.
This brilliant show for all ages has received some rave reviews including fastidiously authentic– Daily Telegraph, flawless says Mojo, and magically real reckons NME.
The Bootleg Beatles are Neil Harrison – John, Andre Barreau – George, David Caitlin Birch – Paul and Hugo Degenhardt as Ringo.
