On the eve of the 200th episode of Later…, Jools Holland announces his much anticipated 2008 autumn tour. To celebrate his golden 50th birthday, the master of ivories will embark on a 31 UK date tour alongside his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra from October through to December. In what will be his most glittering tour yet Jools Holland & His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra plays The NIA Academy on Saturday 20 December 2008.

Following his hugely successful sell out tour last year and the release of “Best Of Friends” which stormed the album top 10, Jools Holland’s 2008 UK tour will kick off on 24 October. Bringing audiences another taste of his blues and boogie woogie fun, Jools Holland - the hardest working and most prolific British musician, promises a trademark foot-stomping night out.

With guest vocals from Birmingham's own Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Marc Almond, Jools will perform tracks spanning his 11 albums from the past 11 years as well as songs taken from his latest hit album ‘Best Of Friends’ which was released last autumn. The album includes some of Jools’ most loved collaborations with guests including the late George Harrison, Norah Jones, Tom Jones, Bono and Stereophonics.
