Following ten weeks at the top of the UK singles chart with her stunning single Umbrella (feat. Jay-Z) and following the success of her recent no.1 album Good Girl Gone Bad, Rihanna has announced a major UK Arena tour. This will be Rihanna’s first headline tour and follows her dates with the Pussycat Dolls last winter and her recent performance at Live Earth (Tokyo).

Less than two years ago the Bajan beauty burst onto the music scene when Pon De Replay stormed the British charts reaching number 2, then less than 12 months later Rihanna was at number 2 again with the pop classic S.O.S. She then followed with the stunning ballad Unfaithful which once again frustratingly peaked at number 2 but now that has all changed…

The infectious Umbrella has surpassed all of her previous achievements and taken the country by storm giving Rihanna her first UK no.1. Umbrella was released digitally only on 14 May and became the fastest selling download of the year as it went on to become only the third single ever to reach the top of the charts on downloads alone. For three years running she has delivered the anthem of the summer and with no.1 album Good Girl Gone Bad, 2007 is going to be Rihanna’s year.

The winner of BBC's 'Dance X' Show will be the opening act for the forthcoming Dec 07 Rihanna tour
