Marketing Birmingham  Marketing Birmingham is the destination marketing agency for the Birmingham City region. It is a public–private partnership supported financially by Birmingham City Council and some 400 member companies. Its primary focus is to attract business and leisure visitors to Birmingham in a sector worth some £1bn to the local economy. Since 2003 it has also operated the Championing Birmingham programme which seeks to equip business leaders and other organisations in the city with the tools to act as promotional champions for the city. It is also actively involved in the operation of Birmingham W1, the city’s base in London.
