Prestigious radio awards move to the Midlands
11 November 2015The Vox Conference Centre is thrilled to be hosting the Arqiva Radio Academy Hall of Fame Lunch on Thursday, 10th December, as the event moves outside of London for the first time in its history.
Situated in Resorts World Birmingham on the NEC site, the Vox will host a lunch honouring radio’s most outstanding personalities and previous inductees have included Trevor Nelson, Nick Ferrari, Annie Nightingale, Margherita Taylor and John Peel.
Director of Sales for the Vox, James Eslton, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting Hall of Fame Lunch in its first year in Birmingham. Our new Vox conference centre has the flexibility to host prestigious events in modern settings, and we are looking forward to welcoming some of the UK’s top radio talent to our venue.”
Birmingham has a rich radio heritage and as the BBC Music Radio Awards will be held at the Genting Arena later that day, also on the NEC site and adjacent to Birmingham International Rail station and airport, the Vox was a perfect choice for the lunch.
