Workplace

Creating jobs and building careers with our current and potential workforce.

We are passionate about supporting education. We focus a lot of our effort on the three schools in our community.

Each school asks us for different things, however we are committed to creating opportunities for their students to interact with us, whether on visits or as part of a work experience programme, hosting their events and sponsoring prizes. Our people regularly support on events such as practice interview days, business simulations and 'what's my job' events.

Paul Thandi

To be able to grow for the future we need to invest time and creativity in finding and equipping the right people with the right skills

CEO Chair of the Birmingham and Solihull Employment and Skills Board

Paul Thandi

Paul Thandi was appointed Chair of the Birmingham and Solihull Employment and Skills Board, the advisory body to the Learning and Skills Council, in 2009

Paul said:

"I am exceptionally pleased and extremely honoured to be able to take up this role. I believe strongly in the importance of skills development and the overwhelmingly positive contribution that it can make to our region, particularly in the face of our current economy"

The Learning and Skills Council champions skills development, tests and exposes weaknesses in services delivery, and recommends improvements to both the LSC and Job Centre Plus.
