The Ticket Factory is the first ticketing company in the UK to launch a brand new FREE registration service for deaf and disabled customers. The new online service now enables customers to link their access requirements to their Ticket Factory account, so they can choose the best tickets to meet their requirements and then book their own tickets online.
NEC Group brands; The Ticket Factory, Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena (formerly Genting Arena), have joined together with Nimbus Disability to roll out the online initiative that will benefit customers with access requirements.
To take advantage of the FREE service, customers simply register their access requirements with Nimbus Disability. On completion, Nimbus Disability provides a unique registration number which customers input on their www.theticketfactory.com account to link their access needs. If they choose to, they can then upgrade their application to the Access Card – a national registration system accepted at venues throughout the UK.
The new service will enable customers to make their bookings more quickly and efficiently as their details are already stored on their account.
Furthermore, customers have complete privacy over their details as Nimbus Disability, an organisation run by disabled people, handles all information securely and safely without The Ticket Factory having cause to see the reasons behind why customers need accessible seating options.
The scheme is currently available across Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena with plans to expand to other NEC Group venues in the future.
Customers who still wish to phone can call the Contact Centre, quoting their unique membership code.
Gareth Coleman, Operations Director at The Ticket Factory, said: “We’re always looking to push the technology boundaries to improve our customers’ ticket buying experience. By launching the UK’s first free registration service to our customers and expanding on the great service we already offer Access Card holders, it gives an easier and more convenient way to book tickets faster. More importantly, it offers disabled customers the same choice and convenience as our customers that don’t have access requirements.
“Our customers are vital to us, and as a duty of care, it’s so important to all of us that our customers have the discretion and the peace of mind that their requirements will be catered for at Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena.”
Martin Austin, Managing Director and Founder at Nimbus Disability said: “We’re really pleased to be collaborating with The Ticket Factory in delivering a streamline service for deaf and disabled customers.
“This kind of digital solution offers disabled people the opportunity to enjoy a service which identifies and meets their individual needs, making their booking experience much simpler. The Ticket Factory are leading the way in making this type of service accessible for their customers.”
