The NEC is gearing up to attend next week's Marketing Week Live, where the venue's experienced sales team is set to welcome thousands of marketers and brand managers to its stand to experience just why it's the venue of choice for some of the UK's biggest and best brands, including Toyota, Royal Mail and BskyB.
The venue is best-known for its 140 trade and consumer shows; from Spring Fair to BBC Gardener’s World Live, The Gadget Show Live, Clothes Show Live and Top Gear Live. However, the venue also welcomes brands like Range Rover, Severn Trent and Neal’s Yard for everything from launch events and TV shows, to product engagement activity and conferences.
Whilst at Marketing Week Live, which takes place 27-28 June, the NEC team will demonstrate what's available at the venue – including blank canvases, ready-made event layouts and pillar-less spaces. This year saw the launch of its innovative new live event product 'Black Box', which is also set to be showcased to visitors.
Jenny Lightfoot, Account Manager at the NEC who works as part of the Live Events team, said:
"Black Box is an elegant and adaptable space that creates the infrastructure needed to put on show-stopping events. It includes everything that an event organiser requires – no matter how big or small the event – and includes power, drapes, carpets, furniture, cleaning, security, catering and staging. In addition to various AV options.
"We developed this product based on clients' needs; they now don't have to worry about sourcing everything separately because it is done for them and, more importantly, they know the costs up front.
"Live marketing is a really important tool to event organisers and the NEC has everything needed for the perfect event. If you've got the idea, we've got the means to bring it to life within our 186,000sqm of covered space that offers unrivalled flexibility and a blank canvas of scale that can be turned into practically anything the imagination conjures up!"
The NEC has 20 interconnecting and flexible halls sitting within 610 acres of adaptable land, welcomes hundred of events every year and is set to showcase what it can offer at the two-day exhibition. The venue's central UK location, with connectivity to all major motorways and internal walkways from Birmingham International Railway Station and Birmingham Airport, means it couldn't be better placed to host events and attract visitors. Being hosted on private land gives organisers unrivalled levels if space, security and confidentiality.
