The LG Arena scoops top industry award

This week, Birmingham’s LG Arena brought home the Live Music Business Award for ‘The Best Venue Teamwork - Arena’. This comes hot on the heels of the Pollstar rankings that put the venue seventh in the list of Top 100 arenas worldwide.

The venue, known for hosting the likes of Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Gaga and Peter Kay, was up against all arenas in the UK, including sister venue, the NIA, with both making the final three; completing the trio was Liverpool’s Echo Arena.

The team are delighted with this coveted award and Guy Dunstan, General Manager of the Arenas said: “We’re thrilled with our achievement. Just being two out of the three finalists is a massive coup, but actually winning the award is the icing on the cake. And what’s more humbling, is to know we have been voted for by industry peers – so they’re telling us we’re the best in the UK!

“This just showcases the outstanding work the Arenas’ teams do every day to make sure our clients and customers experience the highest level of service at our venues. We’re delighted to have been recognised by the industry – all credit to our teams.”

Created by the publisher of LIVE UK – the only magazine dedicated to the companies and individuals working in this sector of the creative industries – the Live Music Business Awards is now in its third year and recognises excellence and talent among promoters, venue operators, festival organisers and agents, through to artiste managers, brand impact and record label partnerships.

Guy Dunstan and the LG Arena team were presented with the award at a glittering awards evening in London.
