The NEC has joined Circdata and Freeman as this year’s final headline sponsor of the prestigious AEO Excellence Awards to be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday 17 June.

The AEO Excellence Awards recognises and celebrates organisers’ achievements, standards of excellence from venues and service quality by suppliers and contractors throughout the event industry.

The NEC is certainly in great company and all three headline sponsors will benefit from their association with the AEO Excellence Awards via regular communications with AEO, AEV and ESSA members as well as wider exposure through industry and social media. In addition, each headliner will receive fantastic branding at the event and there are a few surprises planned for guests.

The shortlist was announced on Monday 16 May, causing an unprecedented spike in traffic to the AEO Excellence Awards website. Chris Skeith, Chief Executive of AEO says: “We’re absolutely blown away with the NEC joining Circdata and Freeman as our headliners.

It’s an important year for the iconic NEC which is revelling in its 40th birthday celebrations, so we’re delighted they’ve chosen to support the awards. There’s a great deal of excitement in the industry, I think everyone enjoyed last year’s awards so much that they have high expectations for this year and we won’t let them down.”

Martin Clarke, Marketing Director at the NEC, says: “The AEO Excellence Awards offers a fantastic opportunity for key players in the events industry to come together and share their successes. We are passionate about helping to raise the bar across all areas in our sector and already work closely with the AEO to deliver the National Exhibitor Masterclass which aims to educate the exhibitor community. Our sponsorship of these awards is another way in which we can support the industry so we are excited to be working with the AEO to celebrate the best of the best and look forward to a fantastic event.”

Chris Skeith, concludes: “We’d like to wish all of the finalists good luck, they’ve done fantastically well to get shortlisted as the submissions were particularly strong. The two new categories of Best Technology and Best Conference have been particularly well received and we’re delighted, once again, to see some entries from outside of AEO membership. It’s going to be a fun, high profile and prestigious event for companies, individuals and our partners to be associated with so make sure you book your tables soon!”
