Multi-Grammy award winning rock group, Muse, made their debut on the Barclaycard Arena stage on Saturday night for their UK opener of ‘The Drones World Tour’.

The band gave the sell-out Birmingham crowd a true 360 degree audio/visual sensory experience for the first time ‘in the round’ from the middle of the Arena.

Ian Congdon, Head of Arena Sales said: “Securing and selling out a high-profile show like this for the Barclaycard Arena, highlights why artists are ensuring Birmingham is a key stop on their tour routes. The Barclaycard Arena and its sister venue the Genting Arena, are both a great draw for live entertainment fans from across the country, due to the fantastic facilities, locations and transport links.

“In addition, the Barclaycard Arena’s flexible arena bowl, gives artists and promoters greater control of their show setup, no matter what their requirements; We can accommodate all number of different staging structures, sizes and seating arrangements from 2,464 layouts to 15,800 capacity shows, whilst taking on any bespoke requirements like Muse’s with ease.”
