ICC strengthens event management team

Birmingham’s International Convention Centre (ICC) has strengthened its event team with the appointment of Andrew Insley as Event Manager. 

In his new role, Andrew will work collaboratively with clients to deliver the logistical requirements for events expecting between 100 and 1,000 delegates. This will include coordinating the quality technical and catering services offered by the ICC. 

Andrew was recruited from the NEC Group’s catering company, Amadeus, where he held the position of Conference and Banqueting Sales Manager for two and a half years. His previous experience also includes managing an award-winning restaurant.

Commenting on his new role, Andrew said: “I am thrilled to be joining the fantastic team at the ICC and am relishing the opportunity to learn from the 24 years of experience that the venue boasts. Event management formed part of my role at Amadeus and I am looking forward to building on this experience to help deliver client requirements at a number of the 350 events held at the ICC each year.”
