29 May 2012

BeautyUK, a major annual trade show for all beauty professionals and the only one of its kind to be held in the Midlands, attracted record visitors during the event held at the NEC Birmingham in May.

Over 23,346 people visitors and more than 1,300 exhibitors attended BeautyUK, smashing all previous records for the event which is organised by Guild Press Limited, and showcases the latest innovations in skin care, nails, tanning, beauty equipment and training. New at the event for 2012 was HairUK, which included demonstrations from one of the most highly recognised government approved regulation authorities, Habia.

Gary Hackett, Show Director said: “This year’s show has been a great success, we’ve attracted a record amount of visitors and our customers stands were consistently busy over the 2 days. We are already making plans to ensure BeautyUK 2013 is even bigger and better.”

Beauty UK brings together products, equipment, services and training from the leading Beauty, Holistic, Nail and Tanning companies, as well as hosting training seminars and workshops. The event also hosts the Midlands’ heat of ‘WorldSkills UK’, with fiercely fought categories including Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Nail Techniques and Theatrical & Media Make-Up.

Jane Lang, NEC Account Manager for BeautyUK, said; “It’s been yet another great event for BeautyUK and it’s great to see what a success it has been.

“Feedback has been really positive, especially amongst those who exhibited at the event.”

Exhibitor Jamie Crook from Louella Belle, said: "Just back from another great BeautyUK show, and once again, it has proved its worth - giving us a valuable opportunity to meet with our existing valued clients and reach out to potential new clients. In the beauty industry, the chance for people to see new colours and experience products in person is so important, which is why we consider shows like BeautyUK an important part of our marketing programme."

BeautyUK 2013 will be split into four sections – HairUK, BeautyUK, Holistic Health and Aesthetics Conference – and 53% of stands for next year’s show have already been booked, making it a key event for the Beauty industry.
