Assistant Marketing Manager - THSH

THSH are looking for a highly motivated individual, with a passion for music and the arts, to join their busy marketing team.

Duties include managing and implementing event marketing campaigns, supervising day-to-day campaign work, copywriting, and producing print, advertising, direct marketing and e-marketing materials.

You should be an accomplished marketer, highly literate with strong attention to detail, excellent communication and computer skills. Relevant previous experience in a similar role is essential.

STAFFING OFFICER (MATERNITY COVER)

This position offers an excellent career opportunity for someone already working in a staff deployment capacity wishing to gain experience within the Conference and Banqueting Catering Industry.

You will be required to ensure financial controls and staffing standards / procedures are adhered to at all times.

You will need to be a well-organised team player with a good natural telephone manner, be IT literate, and have excellent communication skills, as you will be conversing with both internal and external customers on a daily basis. To work in this fast paced environment you will need to be an impressive multi-tasker with proven problem solving skills, have the confidence to deal with operational issues as they arise, and have the ability to assist in the planning of workloads, ensuring that deadlines are met, often in a stressful environment.

Attention to detail in both verbal and written communication is essential, and the ability to build relationships is crucial to the effectiveness of this role. You will take an active role in both the allocation and selection of personnel within the available workforce ensuring that they match the requirements of the event.

Predominantly based at the ICC, as part of the group you may on occasion have the opportunity to support our off site “Amadeus” catering team. You will be expected to support our Resources team based at The NEC and city centre venues, along with being able to follow a flexible work pattern, which will include some evenings and weekends.

This temporary position is required to provide maternity cover for an existing post for 6 months initially with a possibility of extending to 12 months.

We are seeking reliable and dedicated individuals with great personalities to join our many Catering teams in the following positions:-

Food & Beverage service operatives within The ICC where both your service and people skills will be called upon to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience, whether it be in a Hospitality bar, as part of a “premier” dining experience or within a Café environment. Previous catering experience preferred but we are able to train if you are enthusiastic, presentable and willing to learn. Day, evening and weekend shifts available.

Concert Staff – working in our bars, food & beverage and confectionery kiosks at The NIA.
Working both evenings and weekends when we are staging an event. Do you thrive on being busy? Do you love the “buzz” of a concert? If you have the personality and enthusiasm to deliver excellent service and keep smiling until the last customer has been served, then this role is for you. Whether you prefer working with our customers directly, or prefer to work behind the scenes, we have the ideal position for you. (Evening shifts commence between 5pm – 6pm).

Back of House Porters – to join this team, you must be reliable and hard working as these dedicated teams are always working to tight deadlines, ensuring that our back of house operations run smoothly. Whether you prefer to assist in the setting up of our events by moving furniture, or if you prefer to work in a busy kitchen, we have many opportunities that would suit.
Day, evening and weekend shifts available.

Waiting and Bar staff required for The WineREPublic, where your duties will include providing a first class table service for our restaurant guests, or perhaps serving on one of the theatre bars. You will never get bored working here, as one minute you may be serving interval drinks, then the next serving food at a hospitality buffet. If you have the passion to deliver excellent service along with possess excellent interpersonal skills then we have flexible shifts to suit you. (Evening shifts commence no later than 5pm).

Telephony and Resource Planning Manager

At The NEC we are constantly looking to improve the way we work to ensure the customer is at the centre of what we do.

We are currently looking to establish a proactive sales function that aligns our products, services and processes to the needs of our many and varied customers. At the heart of this is the desire to deliver a “one-stop shop” solution that includes a new Sales and Service Contact Centre, anticipated at sub 50 seats.

We are therefore now looking to recruit a Telephony and Resource Planning Manager, initially on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Salary circa £25K

The successful candidate should have the relevant skills and experience to develop and manage the telephony and resource strategies for the Contact Centre. The remit includes; IVR, routing and forecasting strategies, workflow management for calls and correspondence, scheduling of resources and production of relevant MIS.

We need you to have extensive knowledge of Contact Centre operations and technology and to have administered telephony and rostering systems.
Just as important is the desire to embrace change and be adaptable particularly in the use of technology.

DELIVERY DRIVER WITHIN OUR FLORAL DEPARTMENT AT THE ICC

A vacancy exists for a Delivery Driver within our Floral Department at the ICC. Flowers@theicc is the bespoke floral design department for The NEC Group.

The ideal candidate would be required to hold a full clean UK driving licence and have a good knowledge of the Birmingham and surrounding areas.

You will need to possess good customer service skills, be flexible with your working hours and have proven reliability along with excellent inter-personal skills.

This permanent part time position is contracted at 20 hours per week over a 5-day period.

Events Crew Manager

The ICC Technical Department are seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant, self motivated and flexible individual to join its Management team for an 18 month fixed term contract.

This position demands an organised and motivated individual with strong communication skills, who will lead from the front. You will have experience in both People management and Event delivery, as your role will be to manage a dedicated and elite technical team delivering a first class and memorable experience across a wide range of events and exhibitions.
A technical back ground is desirable but not essential for this role. The focus of this position is people, harnessing their skills and abilities, both as individuals and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will possess the ability and experience to think clearly, to assimilate a variety of data and information and to realistically define the task ahead. They will have excellent communication skills to ensure their team understand clearly each task, our goals and departmental expectations. The candidate will have the confidence to motivate, to measure, appraise and importantly praise their team.
Candidates will be willing to work hard, occasionally for long hours, and be able to respond during pressurised situations. This is not a 9-5 Monday to Friday, desk bound post. The successful candidate will need the ability and confidence to effectively manage their own time across what can be a 24/7 industry.
