Our Future

It’s an exciting time for our company.

In the last few years we’ve taken an honest look at ourselves, we’ve put in place significant changes and now we’re ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

We need to build a relationship with a new generation of users of our venues to ensure our longevity, whilst continuing to nurture our important, existing customers.

As market leaders we also have a responsibility to be trailblazing and grow the markets that we are in.

We have something special at The NEC Group. We need to protect and develop it to ensure a great future in a rapidly changing world.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be recognised as the places where people come to discover the future.

We want our customers and visitors to prefer our venues over our competitors’ because we provide everything they need, they enjoy the time they spend with us and, for them, it’s like coming home.

Our Strategy

The NEC Venue Improvement Programme
The NEC's £40 million Venue Improvement Programme is now almost complete, with the venue showcasing a brand new look and feel for visitors to enjoy.

The improvement programme, which began in 2005, will upgrade the facilities at The NEC over five years. The piazza, halls one to five built in 1976, has undergone a dramatic transformation. New flooring, lighting, plasma screens, extra seating, brand new toilets, catering pods and new signage to help navigate around the venue have given the area a completely new identity.

Destination NEC
A masterplan to create a renewed vibrancy around the NEC site, making a visit to The NEC engaging and compelling for future generations of visitors. This includes plans for a large casino within a wider leisure and entertainment complex.
> Destination NEC

NEC Arena Investment
To recreate an arena that is the envy of its competitors, that is a ‘must stop’ for all performers and artists and is the preferred choice for potential audiences.

Corporate Responsibility
To implement and communicate responsible business practices and strategic community relations that act in the wider interests of society as well as adding value to the core commercial business and local communities.
> Corporate Responsibility

The Ticket Factory
To re-invent our box office as ‘The Ticket Factory’ to further broaden its market, offer more flexibility to both clients and customers and reflect today’s increasing demand for tickets for live events.
> The Ticket Factory

Centre Core
To create a culture change amongst our employees by moving our offices ‘above the shop’, as NEC House becomes a new hotel, and we re-locate to The NEC itself, working even closer to our customers, in amongst the heart of the events and exhibitions we stage.

Food First
To turn the venue catering concept on its head by making our food offering a flagship product and unique selling point for the company.
